Club Med G.Os in Mauritius

Top reasons G.Ms love a Club Med holiday

At Club Med we want you, our G.Ms (our guests), to enjoy your holiday with us. So, we love hearing from G.Ms about your All-Inclusive Club Med holidays. Here, G.Ms share a few of the top reasons they love Club Med holidays.

Jo-Ann Strauss

All-Inclusive

I love the fact that you never have to think about what things are going to cost ‘cause it’s all included.

Child-friendly

I love the Kids’ Clubs. It’s a family holiday so you aim to have as much time as possible with the kids. Just to know that the kids are well taken care of and that they are enjoying their holiday is amazing.

The rooms are very thoughtfully put together. From bottle warmers, to step ups to the toilet… Some places say they are family-friendly but Club Med is beyond family-friendly – it is really about putting the family first.

Our kids loved the G.Os and they keep asking about them.

Food

There’s a gourmet buffet which is well-stocked and well put together. I also like that the restaurants have the usual healthy fare as well as many other fantastic healthy options.

Sea, sun, sand

The best thing about a beach holiday with Club Med is, unsurprisingly, the beach. It’s the reason you go and the reason you’ll go back. There really isn’t much better than the sea, sun, and sand combination, and having those together in an environment as relaxing as Club Med is magical. You really are spoilt there. Everything is focused on getting you to relax and enjoy yourself, and knowing that your food and drinks are included definitely takes the thinking out of ordering.

The activities

Every Club Med I’ve been to has perfected the balance between slow and go. Relaxing at their villages is easy, but when you want something to do, there’s a near endless list of holiday activities available to you. From snorkelling (my favourite) to yoga, whatever your vibe they’ll have something that will fit into your holiday perfectly.

Adults-only pool

A welcomed surprise on my visit to Club Med La Plantation d’Albion in Mauritius was an adults-only pool with its own bar and restaurant. As a father of two I love the family area where you can let loose and your kids can have the holiday of their dreams, but when the kids are busy at the Kids’ Club you have a pool you can visit for some quiet cocktails and Nutella crepes while you listen to the waves crashing into the rocks.

The Golf

Club Med La Plantation d’Albion in Mauritius doesn’t have its own golf course, but that’s a good thing because there are a number of truly incredible courses close to the Club Med village. If you’re a golfer like me, you’ll want to trade the white sand beaches for the green fairways at least once or twice. It’s best to get this organised before you arrive to ensure you get tee times.

The G.Os

A key element with Club Med that I’ve never experienced at another resort or hotel is the personal level of care and attention you get from the resort teams. The G.Os are so friendly and helpful and they love seeing you having the best holiday possible. If your dream is to lay by the pool all week then they’ll leave you there to soak up the sun, but if you want to experience any activities they’ll be there to get you excited and loving life.
